Letter to the Editor Excerpt

A recent letter to the editor in the Evansville Courier & Press addressed the issue of downtown parking in that city as it relates to economic vitality. The writer went on to say the following in regard to downtown Henderson:

"...I work downtown in the Innovation Pointe building and know first-hand how scarce parking can become. Look to Main Street in Henderson, Ky. for a model. Every time I have been down there, it is busy and most of the businesses are occupied.

They have angular parking and normal-width sidewalks. Someone needs to poll the businesses Downtown for the best solution to increase commerce. I bet that parking is at the top of the list."
